Our 16 territories around the world are managed by directors from the countries concerned. Either local or expatriated, they have very diverse backgrounds. Their shared qualities are perseverance and passion.
These directors are assisted by a commercial, administrative, financial and transit team. Each subsidiary has its own offices and warehouse in order to provide regular stocks for the stores.
The head office of Mercure International is in Monaco, where about one hundred people work, including its General Management, the logistics and purchasing departments.
We look upon the head office as a support for our subsidiaries, from which we manage all of our operations.
In order to assist our subsidiaries, we have set up a logistics team which works permanently on optimizing the flow of merchandise, often difficult in these markets due to customs organizations. In order to respect lead times for placing goods on the market, we have two ultra-modern warehouses where we can check in, process and stock our merchandise.
We have chosen to be close to our suppliers by having a warehouse of 14,000 m2 in Europe and another of 5,000 m2 in Asia. Each year, we expedite over 3,000 containers to supply our stores and serve our consumers.
We respect the brands with which we work by opting for prime locations, excellent merchandising and 100% conformity with their various graphic charters. Our Brand Managers are in weekly contact with the brands and their marketing departments in order to guarantee on-going communication.
We develop customized media campaigns, by brand and in each country (press, 4x3, client events, radio etc…), in collaboration with our partner brands. We also maintain good relation with local press to ensure editorials and product placements. Details make all the difference. And we devote our attention to them on a daily basis.
In the head office, a team of buyers (Brand Managers) select and purchase products that are suitable for our markets. They analyze the sales on a weekly basis, discuss with store managers and ensure that the products perfectly match consumer requirements. Each season, they attend meetings organized by the brands to discover and reserve their new collections.
Even if we are working on emerging markets, we always endeavour to propose products from new collections.
